
Sponsored Work Visas
If you are a skilled worker and have an employer who is prepared to sponsor you for a visa, you can come and work anywhere in Australia on a temporary Skills in Demand visa (subclass 482), work in regional Australia on a temporary Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 494), or migrate to Australia permanently on an Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186).

Have an occupation on the relevant Skilled Occupation List

Be nominated by your employer to work in an occupation on the List

Have at least one year relevant work experience

Have a positive skills assessment

Meet minimum standard of English language proficiency (unless exempt)
Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 494)

Be in or outside Australia

Be aged under 45 years (unless exempt)

Have an occupation on the relevant Skilled Occupation List

Be nominated by your employer to work in an occupation on the List

Have at least 3 years relevant full-time work experience gained in the last 5 years

Have a positive skills assessment

Meet minimum standard of English language proficiency
Employer Nomination Scheme Visa (subclass 186)

Be in or outside Australia

Be aged under 45 years (unless exempt)

Have an occupation that is on the relevant Skilled Occupation List

Be nominated by your employer to work in an occupation on the List or work in a position as per the labour agreement

Have relevant full-time work experience

Have a positive skills assessment

Meet minimum standard of English language proficiency

If you hold a regional provisional visa, must have held this visa for at least 3 years before applying for the subclass 186 visa
If you do not have an employer-sponsor and you would like to live and work in Australia, consider a Skilled visa.
